Company

Company overview

Hang Feng Technology Innovation Co., Ltd. operates primarily in Hong Kong. Most revenue comes through Starchain, which helps companies listed in Hong Kong and the United States with management, strategy, performance, regulatory compliance and governance. Clients pay recurring monthly fees or project fees as agreed milestones are reached.

Its smaller asset-management business serves only professional investors, mainly high-net-worth individuals and private companies. HF CM manages HF Fund SPC’s Global Innovation SP portfolio, which invests mainly in publicly listed global technology companies, while HF IAM provides investment advice. The company earns fees for fund subscriptions, ongoing management and financial advice. HF IAM holds Hong Kong licences for securities advice and asset management.

Revenue depends heavily on a small group of clients. The largest, HF Holdings, is also a major shareholder controlled by chairman QIAN Fenglei. Consulting contracts generally run for a year, clients can terminate them, and renewals are not assured; asset-management engagements are negotiated project by project.

Hang Feng is also developing an early-stage initiative to represent fund interests as digital tokens. Planned issuance, custody and investor onboarding would rely on licensed digital-asset platforms in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Hang Feng's results also depend on consulting fees from its largest client, chairman-controlled HF Holdings, and spending on its RWA platform.

  • Greenpro Capital competes with Hang Feng for Hong Kong businesses' spending on corporate advice: Greenpro provides financial advice and company-secretarial services, while Hang Feng charges for management and compliance advice. Watch Greenpro's Hong Kong corporate-advisory business for signs of demand in this shared market.

  • Roma Green Finance competes with Hang Feng for Hong Kong companies' governance and compliance-advice budgets, advising on corporate governance, risk management and environmental, social and governance reporting. Its Hong Kong governance and risk-management work is the closest comparison with Hang Feng's consulting business.

  • ATIF Holdings and Hang Feng both depend on companies paying for public-market advice, but at different stages: ATIF helps small and medium-sized businesses become public companies, while Hang Feng advises companies already listed in Hong Kong and the U.S. Watch ATIF's consulting revenue from Hong Kong and U.S. customers as a signal of demand for that advice, rather than for Hang Feng's ongoing compliance services.

  • Intelligent Group and Hang Feng draw fees from the same Hong Kong listed-company market, but for different work: Intelligent Group helps clients communicate with investors and the media, while Hang Feng advises on management and governance. Watch Intelligent Group's financial PR and investor-relations business for signs of listed companies' spending on outside advisers.

  • Acco Group competes with the compliance-support part of Hang Feng's consulting business by charging Hong Kong businesses to maintain statutory records and meet annual corporate requirements. Acco's Hong Kong company-secretarial work is the relevant business to watch, rather than its accounting or intellectual-property services.
