Company

Company overview

Studios, artists and consumer brands pay Dolphin Entertainment’s agencies to promote their work and reach audiences. Agencies including 42West, Shore Fire and The Door provide publicity, communications and marketing services for client fees. This service business accounts for most of Dolphin’s revenue. The Digital Dept. also manages social media influencers, taking a share of their revenue, and runs influencer campaigns and events paid for by brands.

Dolphin has a smaller business producing and distributing films, television and digital content, earning income from licensing rights and distribution. For example, it co-produced and co-financed The Blue Angels with IMAX and earned distribution-related revenue through IMAX’s agreement with Amazon Content Services.

The agency business depends on retaining key people and the client relationships they bring. Clients can generally end engagements on short notice, and some work is awarded project by project, so revenue depends on keeping clients and winning further assignments.
