Caesarstone supplies the slabs that fabricators cut and finish into kitchen countertops, mainly for home renovations and new homes. It sells engineered stone, porcelain and natural stone, generally under the Caesarstone and Lioli brands. Most revenue comes from selling surfaces to fabricators and resellers in its direct markets and to distributors elsewhere. In some channels, customers can also buy a finished, installed countertop, with third-party contractors doing the fabrication and installation; services and accessories contribute less revenue than surfaces.
After closing its own engineered-stone factories, Caesarstone now relies on outside manufacturing partners for those products. Its porcelain comes from its Indian factory and manufacturing partners. Engineered-stone sourcing is concentrated in two partners identified as Supplier A and Supplier B. A sizable share of North American sales also comes through a small number of large retailers, making those relationships important to revenue.
The United States is its largest market, and demand in its main markets comes mostly from home renovation and remodeling rather than new construction. What Caesarstone can sell also depends on rules governing crystalline silica: most Australian states and territories ban engineered-stone slabs containing it, including the company’s quartz-based products. Caesarstone is supplying alternative materials there and faces lawsuits alleging injuries from silica exposure related to its products.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Caesarstone’s results depend on demand from home renovations and new-home construction, especially in North America and Australia, and on the third-party manufacturers that now supply its engineered-stone products.
Housing Starts (Sep)
Caesarstone sells countertop slabs mainly to fabricators and resellers, and new-home construction tracks building activity that creates demand for its surfaces and sales to those customers.
Expected1.31MLast release1.275M
If it comes in above expectations
If the reading is above the 1.31M estimate, it is above the previous 1.275M. More home starts or permits than expected, or stronger new-home sales, point to more building and can increase builders’ and contractors’ need for Caesarstone countertop slabs, potentially lifting orders from fabricators and resellers.
If it comes in below expectations
Fewer home starts or permits than expected, or weaker new-home sales, point to less building and can reduce builders’ and contractors’ need for Caesarstone countertop slabs, potentially weakening orders from fabricators and resellers.
Fed Interest Rate Decision
Caesarstone sells branded engineered-stone, porcelain and natural-stone slabs mainly to fabricators and resellers, so interest rates that affect homebuilding and renovation can change demand for its countertop surfaces and the sales they generate.
Expected4.0%Last release4.0%
If it comes in above expectations
If rates rise more than expected, higher borrowing costs can weigh on home purchases and renovation projects, leaving fabricators and resellers with less demand for Caesarstone surfaces and potentially reducing its sales.
If it comes in below expectations
If rates fall more than expected, cheaper borrowing can support home purchases and renovation projects, potentially lifting fabricators’ and resellers’ demand for Caesarstone surfaces and its sales.
Caesarstone Ltd. earningsThis company
Caesarstone’s report will show whether sales and prices for its surface materials can support revenue and cover manufacturing and delivery costs.
Read revenue alongside gross margin, the share of sales left after product costs. Revenue recovering with a stable or rising margin would show that better volume or pricing is offsetting manufacturing and delivery costs. If both keep falling, competition and weak demand are still pressuring sales or prices, while lower factory utilization makes each unit harder to produce economically.
