Company

Company overview

Boxlight Corporation develops and sells screens and software that teachers use to present lessons, involve students and assess their progress. Its Mimio software suite connects classroom hardware with interactive learning, assessment and lesson-planning tools. Schools and other education providers in the United States and abroad account for most of its revenue, chiefly through purchases of interactive displays and related software. It also supplies classroom audio and communications equipment, provides teacher training, and serves corporate and government customers.

Resellers and distributors handle substantially all sales, so Boxlight depends on partners that also carry competing products. Education customers rely heavily on government funding, which affects their ability to buy. Boxlight outsources manufacturing and relies on suppliers for all products and components; purchases are concentrated with one vendor, and some products or components have no readily available alternative supplier.

    Fed Interest Rate Decision

For Boxlight, the Fed’s policy rate guides borrowing costs across the economy; because its Credit Agreement debt has variable rates, rate changes can alter interest paid and cash left for operations.
