Baosheng Media helps advertisers plan, place and optimize campaigns on Chinese online media. It obtains advertising space directly from media or through other agencies, while also helping media attract advertisers. Most revenue comes from media or their authorized agencies paying rebates and incentives for the placements it brings them. A smaller share comes from advertiser fees after the cost of buying advertising services. Ads outside search engines, such as in-feed, app and social-media ads, generate most revenue.
A few customers supply most of its revenue, with Shenzhen Oriental Modern Information Technology Co., Ltd. the largest. The business depends on advertiser spending, media rebate terms and continued access to advertising channels. Media agency agreements generally last a year and can be renegotiated or terminated by the media.
Cash availability also limits how much advertising Baosheng can arrange: some media require payment before advertisers settle their bills. Legal expenses have constrained cash flow and caused customer losses. Under Chinese advertising law, Baosheng must check ad content for compliance and verify qualifications and approvals for certain regulated products and services; it cannot simply pass along whatever an advertiser supplies.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Baosheng’s results depend on a concentrated advertiser base, publishers’ rebate policies and collecting receivables—risks this list only partly captures.
Trip.com Group’s Ctrip operation pays Baosheng for advertising services, making its advertising budget directly relevant to Baosheng’s revenue. The group serves leisure and business travelers with hotel bookings, transportation tickets and other travel services; watch its spending on advertising through Baosheng.
36Kr competes with Baosheng for advertisers’ marketing budgets in China: both arrange ad placements on third-party media and provide marketing services. Watch 36Kr’s enterprise value-added services revenue, which includes integrated marketing and buying and paying for ad space on customers’ behalf, rather than its subscription revenue.
Zhihu and Baosheng both depend on Chinese brands’ online advertising budgets: brands and merchants buy ads on Zhihu’s app and website, while Baosheng earns fees and rebates arranging campaigns. Watch Zhihu’s marketing services revenue, which includes launch-screen and feed ads, rather than paid memberships, for a read on that shared spending.

Trip.com’s report will show whether its advertising spend supports the travel campaigns it places through Baosheng Media.
Read Trip.com’s marketing-services revenue alongside its comments on advertising spend. Steady or rising marketing revenue and spend would indicate that this major travel advertiser is still investing, supporting Baosheng Media’s billings and related rebates or service fees. Weakening marketing revenue and lower spend would put pressure on Baosheng Media’s billings and revenue from travel advertisers.
Zhihu Inc. earningsZH
Zhihu’s report will show whether brands and merchants are spending more or less on its app and website ads, a read on the online-ad budgets Baosheng Media depends on.
Focus on Zhihu’s marketing-services revenue, which includes launch-screen and feed ads, rather than paid memberships. Rising marketing-services revenue would suggest brands and merchants are sustaining ad budgets on Zhihu, supporting the online-ad demand Baosheng Media competes to serve and its billings and related rebates or fees. Falling revenue would point to tighter shared ad budgets and pressure on Baosheng Media’s billings and income.
