Company

Company overview

ASP Isotopes combines an isotope-development business with acquired operating businesses. Skyline builds roads and drainage for public infrastructure projects in Hong Kong, providing the largest part of its established revenue base. PET Labs and East Coast Nuclear Pharmacy manufacture and sell radioactive doses used in PET medical scans.

Its enrichment plants in Pretoria, South Africa, separate isotopes for pharmaceutical, medical-imaging and semiconductor applications using its ASP and laser-based QE technologies. Initial products include carbon-14, silicon-28 and ytterbium-176. Production has begun, including commercial samples, but the company has not yet recorded enriched-isotope sales. Its carbon-14 business depends on one Canadian customer that supplies the raw material and has contracted for the plant’s entire capacity, with a minimum payment obligation even if it takes less output.

Through Renergen, ASP Isotopes also owns the Virginia Gas Project in South Africa. The project liquefies natural gas for domestic customers and separates helium, which the company plans to sell directly to global customers. Commercial LNG operations have begun; reaching full output depends on completing well connections. Further expansion needs financing and additional permits.

Quantum Leap Energy, or QLE, is developing enriched materials for advanced nuclear fuels. Agreements with TerraPower cover future uranium fuel for its Natrium reactor project, not current fuel sales. ASP Isotopes has not demonstrated uranium enrichment using its technologies and lacks permission to test them on uranium-235 outside activities contemplated under its Necsa services contract. Commercialization requires further regulatory approvals, while dual-use controls restrict technology disclosure and cross-border transfers.

Moat

ASPI says it has a moat. Does it hold up?

Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.

ASP Isotopes’ outlook also depends on commercializing isotopes, ramping up Renergen’s LNG and helium production, and delivering planned HALEU supplies to privately held TerraPower.

  • Centrus Energy already produces advanced-reactor fuel known as HALEU and sells uranium enrichment services to nuclear utilities, competing with ASP Isotopes’ planned QLE fuel business. Watch its commercial HALEU capacity buildout: ASP Isotopes has yet to apply its technology to uranium-235 enrichment beyond activities contemplated by its Necsa services contract.

  • Skyline Builders Group Holding Limited’s Hong Kong road and drainage work feeds directly into ASP Isotopes’ reported revenue because ASP Isotopes controls and consolidates the business, which mainly works as a subcontractor on public infrastructure. Watch its public-works revenue: construction contributed US$18.175 million of ASP Isotopes’ US$23.849 million revenue in 2025.

  • Oklo and ASP Isotopes both face the challenge of commercializing advanced nuclear fuels and medical isotopes, though Oklo plans to sell electricity and heat from its Aurora reactors rather than reactor designs. Its fuel recycling and fabrication work and radioisotope production through Atomic Alchemy are the activities most relevant to ASP Isotopes’ planned fuel supply and existing isotope business.

  • Nano Nuclear Energy Inc. plans to process uranium fuel for its own reactors and other advanced-reactor developers, while ASP Isotopes plans to enrich uranium for that same developing market. Watch approvals for Nano Nuclear’s planned LEU and HALEU processing: its 2025 annual report said it had not submitted applications and could not begin commercial processing without them.

  • Fermi Inc. is QLE’s planned U.S. joint-venture partner, so ASP Isotopes’ nuclear-fuel growth plans partly depend on this proposed partnership with a developer of powered facilities for large computing customers. Watch definitive tenant leases and delivery of powered facilities at Project Matador: Fermi expects no operating revenue until those steps occur.
