Company

Company overview

Alarum Technologies Ltd. serves businesses that need public web data for tasks such as price comparisons, financial analysis and AI training. Its main business gives customers access to internet addresses through a proxy network, which they can use with their own data-collection tools. Customers buy directly or through resellers, paying mainly for monthly or yearly packages priced by data volume or connection speed, or for actual usage. Proxy-network access supplies most revenue.

Alarum also sells tools that collect data for customers and ready-made structured datasets. Its Website Unblocker helps customers access sites that block automated requests. These offerings let customers buy collection services or data rather than handle the entire process themselves.

Revenue depends heavily on a small group of large customers, and usage can change even when those relationships remain intact. Alarum also leases and resells a significant part of its internet-address pool from outside providers, making continued supply important to serving customers. Privacy requirements govern data collection and processing, while unsettled scraping law and websites’ efforts to restrict automated access can constrain how its services operate.

Alarum’s results hinge on demand for proxies and web data, increasingly for AI training, and competition from Bright Data and Oxylabs, neither of which appears on this list.

  • Similarweb competes with Alarum for businesses buying web-derived datasets and access to data through APIs, and Alarum explicitly names it as a rival. Watch Similarweb’s data feeds and integrations, which deliver website and app activity estimates into customers’ own systems, including AI pipelines—the overlap with Alarum’s web-data offerings.
