Alset Inc. owns single-family homes in Texas and collects rent from tenants, using property managers to handle leasing and day-to-day management. Rent supplies the largest share of revenue, while other business activities also contribute substantially. Through Alset Real Estate Holdings, it also develops residential subdivisions and sells completed lots to homebuilders. Its main development asset is Lakes at Black Oak near Houston, but recent revenue has come from rentals rather than lot sales.
The group’s other activities include corporate consultancy, restaurants and cafés, food and beverage businesses, and securities trading. Its technology business, including Hapi Metaverse, builds and implements e-commerce, communications and workflow systems for business clients, but generates very little revenue. Biohealth has no reported revenue; Alset sold its former South Korean health-product distributor HWH World in exchange for an equity stake in AES Group.
The parent company depends on subsidiary earnings and distributions to fund its obligations. Corporate and tax laws, debt terms and subsidiary creditors’ rights can restrict cash reaching the parent. Alset operates as a holding company rather than a registered investment company; maintaining that status under the Investment Company Act may constrain which assets it can hold or investments it can make.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Alset’s results hinge on Houston-area rental income, uneven lot sales and investment gains or impairments, with most principal businesses held through its 85.8%-owned Alset International subsidiary.
Alset owns 43.6% of DSS, Inc. and has lent it $500,000 through a note it can convert into shares, so DSS’s investment value and financial health directly matter to Alset. DSS sells custom packaging to pharmaceutical, consumer-goods and food businesses, among others; watch that revenue and its ability to repay Alset or pay interest in shares.
Alset holds an indirect stake in EnerSyn Global Inc., identified in the filings as HWH International, and both retain interests in the same Singapore café serving paying customers. Watch that café’s revenue: Alset International agreed to buy 70% in September 2025, while HWH’s subsidiary retained 20% at year-end.
Five Point Holdings, LLC and Alset both depend on homebuilders buying the residential lots they develop, but Five Point operates in California while Alset’s main subdivision is near Houston. Five Point’s homesite sales offer a comparison for builder demand, not a direct read on Alset’s local market, where property development fell from 79% of total revenue in 2024 to 0% in 2025.
Five Point Holdings, LLC earningsFPH
Five Point Holdings, LLC's report shows whether California homebuilders are buying its developed homesites, a comparison for the builder demand behind Alset Inc.'s lot business, but not a read on Alset Inc.'s Houston-area market.
Compare Five Point's developed-homesite sales with its earlier reported sales. Stronger sales show California builders buying more of its lots, a supportive but geographically separate signal for Alset Inc.'s lot business; weaker sales point to less buyer appetite, but cannot establish what Houston-area builders are doing. The conclusion is whether broader builder demand looks supportive, while Alset Inc.'s local market remains unproven.
DSS, Inc. earningsDSS
DSS, Inc.'s report shows sales in its custom-packaging business and its financial health, which matter to the value of Alset Inc.'s 43.6% stake and whether its $500,000 convertible loan can be repaid or interest paid in shares.
Read DSS, Inc.'s packaging revenue alongside its cash, debt and overall financial health. Growing revenue and improving finances would support the value of Alset Inc.'s stake and the basis for repaying the loan; falling revenue or weakening finances would raise the risk that the investment loses value or the loan is harder to recover. The conclusion is whether Alset Inc.'s investment and loan have stronger support, not whether DSS, Inc.'s revenue is Alset Inc.'s own.
