Addex Therapeutics develops potential medicines rather than selling approved drugs. Its lead candidate, dipraglurant, is being developed for recovery after stroke or traumatic brain injury, and it has a separate candidate for chronic cough. None of its candidates has marketing approval, and it has never earned revenue from drug sales.
Its limited revenue comes mainly from Indivior paying it to maintain licensed patents. The earlier research-funding arrangement has ended. Indivior holds worldwide rights to a program targeting substance use disorders, including alcohol use disorder, and funds and controls development of its selected compound. Addex can receive milestone payments if specified development, regulatory or commercial goals are met, and royalties if products are sold. This potential income depends on Indivior advancing the program; Addex cannot direct or veto its decisions.
Addex sold its drug-discovery platform and some preclinical programs to Neurosterix and retains a minority stake in Neurosterix US Holdings LLC. It also relies on some staff and infrastructure support from Neurosterix. Share sales have historically supplied most of its funding, and continuing development requires substantial additional capital.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Addex’s prospects hinge on financing and clinical progress: watch Indivior’s licensed program, dipraglurant’s brain-injury collaboration with Sinntaxis, and Addex’s 20% stake in privately held Neurosterix.
Addex depends on Indivior Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which sells opioid-use-disorder medicines, to fund and develop the substance-use-disorder candidate it licensed from Addex’s GABAB PAM program. Watch that candidate’s clinical progress, including for alcohol use disorder: it could bring Addex milestone payments and, if commercialized, royalties on sales.

Indivior’s report can show whether it is advancing the substance-use-disorder candidate licensed from Addex, which could bring Addex milestone payments and royalties if the program progresses and reaches sales.
Look for evidence that Indivior is continuing clinical development of the candidate. Continued progress would leave Addex eligible for payments when specified milestones are met and royalties if the drug reaches sales; a stalled or scaled-back program would weaken that potential revenue path.

Addex has no approved drugs and relies on financing and collaboration income to develop its candidates, so this report will show whether it can keep its programs moving.
Read cash, operating cash use and financing together. Slower cash use or new funding would give Addex more room to advance programs such as its chronic-cough candidate; continued cash depletion without a funding source would put development at risk of delay, cuts or an end.
