Abacus Global Management gives life insurance policyholders a way to sell their policies for cash above the insurer’s surrender value. It takes ownership, becomes the beneficiary and assumes future premiums—a transaction called a life settlement. Most revenue comes from trading and holding these policies: institutional buyers pay for resold policies, while insurers pay death benefits on policies Abacus retains. Abacus also earns fees for arranging purchases for other investors. Financial advisors and agents are its largest sourcing channel, and related-party buyers account for much of its policy sales.
A smaller business manages money for institutional investors and private clients. Through Carlisle and FCF, Abacus manages funds investing mainly in life settlements and equity ETFs using free-cash-flow strategies. These funds pay fees based on assets managed; alternative funds may also pay performance fees. Third-party policy owners pay Abacus to service their portfolios.
The policy business depends on finding suitable policies at acceptable prices, demand from buyers and enough capital to fund purchases and premiums. For held policies, the timing of death benefits and the premiums needed until then determine returns. Purchases must meet state licensing and consumer-protection requirements, and policies must remain valid and in force for Abacus to collect.
The risk section is the longest, dullest part of the filing. This keeps only what can really hurt you: where it hits, how hard, when it plays out.
Every company claims an edge. Each one is checked against hard numbers like margins and returns: which hold, and which line gives way first.
Abacus Global Management, Inc.’s results depend chiefly on the supply of life insurance policies for resale, institutional demand to buy them, capital to fund purchases, and insured lifespans relative to premium costs—not on the broad asset managers supplied for comparison.
Abacus Global Management, Inc. earningsThis company
Abacus Global Management earns mainly from trading and holding life policies, and this report will show whether policy gains still support revenue as fund-management fees add another income stream.
Read realized gains in Life Solutions revenue alongside Asset Management revenue. If realized gains remain substantial and management revenue grows, policy sales are still converting value into income while the acquired funds add fees. If gains weaken and fees do not fill the gap, revenue still depends heavily on when and at what price Abacus can sell policies, and income sources remain less diversified.
