On-site power demand is turning into equipment sales, while expansion spending keeps pressure on cash flow.
Bloom Energy reported third-quarter results after the US market closed on October 22, 2026. ஆ[1]The company makes fuel-cell systems, which turn the chemical energy in fuel into electricity at a customer's site; management cited accelerating demand from data centers, commercial and industrial customers, utilities and critical infrastructure. ஆ[2][3]
Quarterly revenue reached a record $1.24 billion, up 138% from a year earlier. Bloom raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook to $4.4 billion–$4.6 billion. ஆ[4]
Customers buying more on-site generation equipment directly lift Bloom's product sales: product revenue reached $1.07 billion, up 179% from a year earlier. That provides a stronger demand signal for on-site power equipment makers and component suppliers, although other companies still have to win orders to benefit. ஆ[5]
Meeting that demand also requires upfront spending to expand production. Reports highlighted Bloom's aggressive manufacturing investment and negative cash flow; concerns about the cash needed for growth accompanied a 9% intraday share-price decline on October 23. Turning additional sales into cash remains a key test of the expansion. ஆ[6][7]
Bloom is expanding production to serve data centers and other large electricity users, creating potential business for suppliers and evidence of growing demand for rivals. Orders for other manufacturers remain unproven, and companies adding capacity face cash demands before sales generate cash.[2][5][6][7]
