Cloudflare reported third-quarter 2026 results after the US market closed on November 5 and raised its full-year outlook. The company provides infrastructure that helps websites and applications operate, connect and defend against online threats.[1][2] Third-quarter revenue rose 39% from a year earlier to $782.5 million.[3]
The company increased its 2026 revenue forecast to around $2.96 billion from its previous range of $2.86 billion to $2.87 billion. That remains management's projection for full-year sales.[4]
Larger enterprise commitments support the growth: the number of customers paying Cloudflare more than $100,000 annually increased 25% from a year earlier.[3] Coverage also links the results to rising demand for automated AI protection, showing how businesses' spending to address emerging online threats can become revenue for infrastructure-security providers.[5][2]
Developer activity is opening another source of payments. Cloudflare doubled its active developer base to 10 million and recorded its first revenue from AI bot traffic, although the report gives no size for that revenue.[6] Meanwhile, gross margin—the share of revenue left after direct costs—fell, and the operating loss under US accounting rules widened. How much the higher sales outlook improves profitability therefore still depends on cost control.[7]
Larger enterprise purchases and demand for protection against AI-related threats create opportunities for providers competing for those budgets. Cloudflare's results support that demand trend, while its lower gross margin shows that revenue growth may outpace profit growth.[3][2][7]
Cloudflare's developer growth and AI-platform adoption are encouraging signs for competing platforms seeking to attract developers and turn usage into revenue. Its first AI bot-traffic revenue is too early a milestone to establish the size of that business.[8][6]
